Information collected automatically
When you visit the site, our hosting infrastructure may record limited technical information in standard server logs, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, the pages you view and the date and time of access. We use this only to keep the website secure and running correctly.
Cookie preference
We store a single first-party cookie that records your cookie choice. We do not use marketing, advertising or third-party analytics cookies. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
This website does not operate user accounts, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data (such as data about health, religion or biometrics) through it.
3. How we use your data, and our lawful basis
We process your personal data only where the law allows. Our purposes and the corresponding lawful bases under the Personal Data Protection Act are:
- To respond to your enquiry and correspond with you: on the basis of your consent and to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.

- To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations: on the basis of compliance with a legal obligation.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data. We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal effects about you, and we do not send you marketing without a lawful basis and a clear way to opt out at any time.
4. Cookies
This website uses only strictly necessary cookies and sets nothing for marketing or tracking. Please see our Cookie Policy for the full list and how to manage your choice.
5. Who we share your data with
We share personal data only where necessary, and only with:
- Service providers who help us run the website and communicate with you (for example, our website hosting and email providers). They may use the data only on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality.
- IBKI's own offices, for the purposes set out above.
- Competent authorities, regulators or courts, where we are required to do so by law.
We never sell your personal data.
6. International transfers
Your personal data is primarily stored and processed in Tanzania. Where a service provider processes data outside Tanzania, we take steps to ensure it receives a level of protection consistent with the Personal Data Protection Act and any conditions set by the Personal Data Protection Commission.
7. How long we keep your data
We keep enquiry and correspondence data only for as long as necessary to handle your enquiry and any relationship that follows, and to meet our legal and record-keeping obligations. After that, it is securely deleted or anonymised.
8. How we protect your data
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we work to protect your data once it reaches us.
9. Your rights
Under the Personal Data Protection Act, you have the right to:

- ask us to correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- ask us to erase your data;
- object to, or ask us to restrict, our processing of your data;
